About the Position: This Lead Equipment Specialist (Automotive) is located at U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground, Test Vehicle Maintenance Branch, with a duty location of Yuma Proving Ground, AZ

Duties

Provide direction and coordination of specialized support to multiple automotive test items or systems. Determine the reasons for mechanical defects or mechanical performance problems. Provide specialized technical support to assigned test equipment or systems. Conduct diagnostic/maintenance operations for assigned materiel.

Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET Security Clearance.
  • One-year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license.
  • Must obtain/maintain a government motor vehicle license.
  • Required to obtain and maintain Overhead Crane and Material Handling Equipment (MHE) certifications.
  • This position requires lifting of items weighing up to 50 pounds or more.
  • Temporary Duty travel (TDY) may be required up to 25%.
