About the Position: This position is located in San Antonio, Texas with the Defense Health Agency. Salary negotiation may be available for those new to Federal service.

Duties

Conducts in-depth reviews and resolves issues on complex and/or sensitive contractual documents/actions. Performs pre-award procurement functions and works with directors, Task Managers, Division Chiefs, Engineers, and other staff. Performs price analysis/comparisons and provides the government with the best market price, while conforming to acquisition regulations. Evaluates the responsiveness of quotes received, reviews quotes for price, and determines where to purchase based on quote analysis. Utilizes various databases and tools for tracking requests for services, supplies, software, and equipment contracts requested by the customer. Maintains financial tracking records of all invoices and modifications per line item and payments to the vendor on excel spreadsheet.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • This position requires you to submit a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 278) or a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
  • One year trial/probationary period may be required.
