You will serve as a Motor Vehicle Operator in NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER NORFOLK. The duty station is SUBASE New London, Groton, CT.
Note: You must possess and maintain a current Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a hazmat endorsement and you must provide a copy of your CDL with your application. Failure to provide may result in your being found not qualified for the position.

Duties
You will use pre-operational inspection checklist to ensure an adequate fuel supply and other general conditions for safe motor vehicle operating.
You will operate Motor Vehicles to include trucks up to 26,00 pound GVW to transport materials on a routine basis.
You will load and unload trucks/trailers with material observing safe handling procedures using manual or mechanical means.
You will obey all traffic laws and safety regulations.
You will operate gasoline and electric forklifts, weighing 6,000 pounds and up to 15,000 pounds, moving material up to 15,000 pounds .
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- You must possess and maintain a current Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a hazmat endorsement and you must provide a copy of your CDL with your application.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- You must obtain and maintain licenses for all assigned equipment including forklifts
- You must complete all assigned training
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- This is a bargaining unit position.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications

The Screen-out Element for this position is: The ability to perform common tasks as demonstrated though experience including operate transport material over public/highways for long or short hauls on routine basis; assist in receiving and delivery by motor vehicle of a variety of supplies, material and equipment; loads and unloads trucks/trailers with material observing safe handling procedures using manual or mechanical means and delivers material to sites by the most expeditious route, observing all traffic laws and regulations; operate gasoline and electric forklifts, weighing 6,000 pounds and up to 15,000 pounds while working under close supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks or reviews tasks to make sure they are properly performed.
