You will serve as a INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (INFORMATION SECURITY) in the Navy Marine Corps Public Health center of NAV DOSIMETRY CENTER BETHESDA.
This announcement uses the Direct Hire Authority Personnel of the Department of Defense to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to certain positions in the competitive service.
Duties
You will monitor functionality, security, and integrity of internet services.
You will troubleshoot and resolve technical problems with the design and delivery of internet services.
You will develop policies and procedures to ensure information systems reliability, accessibility, and to prevent/defend against unauthorized access to systems, networks, and data.
You will diagnose and resolved problems in response to customer reported incidents, research, evaluate and provide feedback on problematic trends and patterns in customer support requirements, install, configure, troubleshoot and maintain hardware.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience operating security center software to install, configure, use, and analyze findings.
Experience operating systems to install, patch, and maintain both a current era Microsoft server and workstation.
Experience in network operations sufficient to design, specify required components, and build a stand-alone network capable to passing traffic.
Experience presenting policy/findings in either written or oral communication to convey meaning, elicit buy-in, and achieve system compliance.
Experience in Microsoft and adobe office applications sufficient to interpret information contained in received reports and independently create actionable reports therein.
In addition to specialized experience, individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.
