This position reports to the Infectious Diseases Section Chief under the Associate Chief of Staff for Specialty Care and provides full administrative support to the Infectious Diseases Program.
Duties
As the Program Support Assistant, you will:
Assist ID physician with the Multi Drug Resistant Organism Program & the Outreach Program development and management
Maintain and manage Infection Control policies and procedures
Prepare reports for several committees
Maintain a calendar of meetings, conference calls and other scheduled activities; includes transcribing meeting minutes
Participate in Systems Redesign projects, work groups, and conference calls
Enter work orders for any equipment repair and/or information technology issues respectively
Serve as front-line contact for the Infectious Diseases Office
Serve as technical resource and assist staff with travel (e.g., requests, authorizations, and vouchers)
Input data into reporting templates and/or automated systems
Retrieve, analyze, assemble and summarize data into reports or presentations
Draft correspondence for Leadership signature
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 0730 to 1600

Physical Requirements: The work is mostly sedentary in nature. It occasionally requires carrying light objects such as files, books, and papers. No special qualifications required.

GS-06 grade level: One year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the federal service); experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA's) and other characteristics to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled, in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specialized experience includes: 1) Responsible for providing administrative support; 2) Collect, compile, and track data and information; 3) Process documents and reports; 4) Establish, update and maintain office files and records; 5) Perform automation duties using such software applications such as word processing, spreadsheet, electronic mail, desktop publishing, calendar, database and/or graphics; and 6) Answer telephones, refer visitors, and provide information. ** Note: Experience must be fully documented on your resume and must include job title, duties, month and year start/end dates AND hour worked per week.

Education
