This position is a Maintenance Worker Helper, WG-4749-5, working in Indiahoma, Oklahoma, for the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge. Duties

As a Maintenance Worker Helper, your duties will include, but are not limited to, the following: Assist in lifting, carrying, holding materials and performing other related tasks in installing outdoor water systems, cleaning plugged water pipes and sewer lines. Assist in the installation, repair and alteration of cabinets, doors, hardware (such as hinges, catches), interior trim i.e., sheetrock, baseboards, tile, linoleum. etc., by holding bracing materials, handling tools, materials or fittings. Assist in mixing and pouring cement and in the construction of simple forms (such as walls, slabs, walkways, and curbs). Prepare and paint interior and exterior building surfaces by scraping or brushing to remove old paint and applying new paint or sealant through use of brushes, rollers or sprayers. Drive one or more types of trucks with rated weight capacities up to and including one ton in hauling cargo or passengers within government installations and over public roads. Wash and fuel vehicles; perform such services as checking and changing oil and water; checking fluid levels in crankcases, power steering, transmissions, batteries, radiators, braking systems, etc.

Qualifications
