Pay for first time hires to the Federal Government will typically be set at step 1 salary range for their respective grade level.

Duties

Performs analysis of operating and application systems software using a variety of fact finding and analytical techniques to determine security vulnerabilities. Participates in various team settings as an expert on software, agile principles, DevSecOps, cloud and the adoption of new technology. Oversees the security certification and accreditation of the IT Accounting Services applications and other classified IT Accounting Services applications networks. Verifies all IA staff is appointed in writing and are assigned written duties and guidelines. Serves as the IA point of contact for internal and external audit organizations and provides audit assistance, support, and coordination, as necessary, relating to security standards and requirements.

Specialized experience is defined as identifying, implementing, testing and remediating technical security requirements for assigned technologies and environments; interpret, manage, or facilitate changes to cybersecurity policies and procedures; providing cybersecurity guidance to I&T management, staff, and customers; conducting assessment procedures of security controls; and assisting with the development of security controls for common IT processes (e.g., access management) based on government or industry best practices, policies and laws., and IT-related experience demonstrating Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, and Problem Solving as described in the vacancy announcement.
