You will serve as a OPERATIONS RESEARCH ANALYST in the Naval Medical Forces Pacific of NAVMEDFORPAC SAN DIEGO CA.
Duties
You will determine and define areas that analytic rigor can be applied to inform senior leaders decisions.
You will identify variables required and best-suited methodology for analysis, employing innovative approaches for new and complex problem-sets.
You will review high-level policies and documents for relevant issues and operations research community concerns.
You will serve as a subject matter expert for the integration of analysis to inform decision on capabilities, requirements, and resourcing.
You will identify best business practices and methods.

- The incumbent must possess mastery in operations research at both the theoretical and practical levels.
- Comprehensive knowledge of principles, theories and the employment of mathematical, statistical, risk analysis, and data visualization data tools is also required.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
Degree: in operations research;
Or at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Applying broad areas of classical and modern advanced actuarial science, operations research (stochastics, simulation and optimization, statistics) or mathematics to analyze/provide insight on opportunities to develop high-priority operations research and systems analysis activities - researches, develops, and makes recommendations for improvements in processes, policies and regulations governing analysis in support of requirement development and to inform higher echelon resourcing decisions;
Analyzing and balance competing priorities such as cost, quality, access issues, and resource workload in a manner that supports organizational, (e.g., Navy Medical), strategic objectives;
Developing innovative techniques and solutions that require a high degree of originality and creativity in planning, designing experiments, developing methodologies, or extension of existing theory to new and unusual problems;
Identifying, developing, and integrating pertinent information through various data collection/analysis procedures and technologies;
Recognizing and evaluating operations research/systems analysis best practices and integrating them into the analytic organizational, (e.g., Naval Medical Forces Pacific (NMFP)), products.
