The position is in the Architect of the Capitol, Office of the Chief Operating Officer, Superintendent Capitol Building, Assistant Superintendent CB & CVC Operations, Maintenance Division, Maintenance Branch, Maintenance Section. The incumbent is an Air Conditioning Equipment Mechanic Helper and assists journey level workers to perform tasks involving installing, repairing, and modifying air conditioning and refrigeration equipment and systems that regulate climatic conditions.

Duties

Tour of duty: Monday thru Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm plus scheduled weekends

Requirements

  • You must be able to pass a drug test.

Qualifications

You must meet all eligibility and qualifications requirements by the closing date of the job announcement.  You must meet the Screen-out element for this position which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this position.  The screen-out element for this position is: WG-05:     Ability to perform the work of an Air Conditioning Equipment Helper without more than normal supervision which includes working independently, showing basic knowledge and responsibility and exercising initiative.
