This position is located in the Textile Care Section of the Environmental Management Service. The primary function is to deliver clean and pick up soiled linen for various facilities, utilizing tractor trailers and box trucks with air brakes.

Duties

Major Duties: Operates Tractor Trailers and Box Trucks with air brakes to: Deliver clean linen and pick up dirty linen Driving to various facilities 3-7 times per week Driving on interstate and two-lane roads Hook up and/or drop trailers Safely operate vehicles and follow all safety procedures Other duties as assigned Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 4:00 AM-12:30 PM with occasional weekends and holidays Position Description Title/PD#: Motor Vehicle Operator/PD516-05906-A Critical Skills Incentive (CSI): Not Authorized Relocation/Recruitment Incentives: Not authorized

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions: Climbing in/out of vehicles; operation of vehicles, electrical equipment and must exert physical effort to load, unload, and transport by pushing and pulling clean and soiled linen carts in a controlled manner weighing up to 700 pounds.
