This position is located in the Olmsted Center for Landscape Preservation of the Resource Stewardship and Science Directorate.
This is a temporary seasonal appointment not to exceed 1039 hours in a service year.

Duties
As a Biological Science Technician (Plants) GS-0404-07, with the National Park Service (NPS), your duties will include, but are not limited to:
Qualifications
All qualifications must be met by the closing date of this announcement-01/18/2024-unless otherwise stated in this vacancy announcement.
To qualify for this position, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-6 level (obtained in either the public or private sectors) coordinating and implementing projects related to resource management that includes: assisting with horticultural training programs, collecting and organizing field data related to landscape plants; leading field crews in invasive plant or other landscape treatments; assisting with control programs for landscape pests; recording documentation and actions associated with plant management; implementing plans to manage landscape resources; assisting in leading groups and individuals in the management of vegetation.
OR
One full year of graduate education that is directly related to the work of the position (such as horticulture, arboriculture, biology, chemistry, statistics, entomology, animal husbandry, botany, physics, agriculture).
OR
A combination of education and experience.

Education
To qualify based on education, you must have one full year of graduate education that is directly related to the work of the position (such as horticulture, arboriculture, biology, chemistry, statistics, entomology, animal husbandry, botany, physics, agriculture).
You must submit a legible copy of transcripts from an
accredited institution with your name, school name, credit hours, course level, major(s), and grade-point average or class ranking. OR A complete list of college courses taken that identifies each course, college or university, semester or quarter hour earned, grade received, and date completed.
Transcripts do not need to be official, but if you are selected for this position and you used your education to qualify, you must provide official transcripts before you begin work. If you fail to submit, your application will not be considered, and you will be rated ineligible.
If you are using
education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet qualification requirements, you must show that your education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
