This position is part of the Office of Environmental Management - Carlsbad Field Office, Department of Energy. As a Budget Analyst, you will provide analysis of a variety of DOE budgetary operations and functions. This may include but is not limited to planning, formulation, execution, analyzing, and justifying the Department's budget; managing the corporate funds control process; and serving as a focal point within and outside of the Department on matters related to its budget.

Qualifications
GS-12: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level. Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting ALL of the following:
1. Assist in providing long-range analyses of the potential effects of budgetary actions on assigned programs, projects, initiatives, and objectives.
2. Assist in presenting and defending budgetary strategies, justifications, and decisions.
3. Assist in supporting budget requests, including reprogramming's, appropriation transfers, supplementals, rescissions, deferrals, and budget amendments.
GS-13: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level. Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting 3 out of 4 of the following:
1.Providing long-range analyses of the potential effects of budgetary actions on assigned programs, projects, initiatives, and objectives.
2.Presenting and defending budgetary strategies, justifications, and decisions.
3.Supporting budget requests, including reprogramming's, appropriation transfers, supplementals, rescissions, deferrals, and budget amendments.
4.Advising and assisting all phases of appropriated budgeting regarding budget product development, review, integration, presentation, and execution.
