Duties
Establishes and maintains a variety of tracking and follow-up systems used to prepare a variety of recurring reports. Information obtained from subordinate regional offices is consolidated.
Coordinates the administrative and clerical support work for the Regional Office and ensures that OIG policies and procedures are consistently used by staff members in subordinate field offices.
Receives incoming calls and visitors to the Regional Office. Determines which calls must be directed to the SAC, which can be directed to other staff members, and those matters which can be handled personally.
Reviews outgoing correspondence and highly sensitive reports for grammatical accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established formats. Ensures appropriate distribution of reports.
Performs timekeeping functions using webTA for regional personnel. Prepares time and attendance audits and lump sum payout reports for outgoing/retiring personnel.
Assists investigators by performing routine record reviews, accompanying case agent on low risk, in office, interviews, etc. Coordinates with other law enforcement agencies regarding the status of pending criminal investigations.
Requirements

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
GS-09: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector: working in an environment with a consistent flow of external callers, documenting inquires, complaints or requests and/or responding to questions, and directing callers or messages to the appropriate staff; directing the flow of work and/or correspondence throughout an organization; reviewing non-technical, non-complex documents for accuracy; performing various administrative and clerical duties to support senior staff (time and attendance, ordering supplies, scheduling training, taking notes); and interacting with a range of internal and external staff members; or similar/related duties; OR
Master's degree or equivalent graduate degree, or two (2) full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work; OR
Combination of education and experience. To combine education and experience, the total percentage of experience at the required grade level compared to the requirement, as well as the percentage of completed education compared to the requirement must equal at least 100 percent.

TIME-IN-GRADE: If you are a current career or career-conditional federal employee applying for promotion under Merit Promotion you must have completed a minimum of 52 weeks in positions at the next level lower than the position being filled.
