This position is located at US Mint,HQ/Dir/Sales and Marketing Directorate. As a Market Research Specialist, you will provide qualitative and quantitative research data collection, evaluation of all findings, development of research reports and communication of the applicability of research findings to sales and marketing program staff and lead management.
Duties
The following are the duties of this position at the GS-13. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position.
Use government and private industry best practices to develop the Sales and Marketing Directorate (SAM) market research program including online survey and data collection methods.
Use research to establish baseline and post implementation measures for branding and brand recognition, consumer awareness and attitudes, and customer satisfaction with numismatic products, programs, services and sales experience.
Conducts analyses of existing or proposed SAM numismatic products, programs and services, develops and executes market research plans, analyzes conclusions and recommendations and presents findings utilizing consolidated reports, oral presentations, memoranda and other documents that address all levels of United States Mint management and executive audiences.

Specialized Experience:
Specialized experience for the GS-13 is defined as one year of experience at the GS-12 level, or equivalent, that is directly related to the position and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience is defined as:
Leading qualitative and quantitative market research studies and analyzing the study findings; AND
Developing and presenting research reports of findings for staff and management; AND
Creating recommendations of change based on market research and its findings; AND
Focusing on customer satisfaction in relation to products, programs, and services
Specialized experience for the GS-12 is defined as one year of experience at the GS-11 level, or equivalent, that is directly related to the position and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience is defined as:
Researching the market using both qualitative and quantitativestudies and analyzing the study findings; AND
Presenting research reports of findings for staff; AND
Creating recommendations of change based on market research and its findings.
Specialized experience for the GS-11 is defined as one year of experience at the GS-09 level, or equivalent, that is directly related to the position and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience is defined as:
Researching the market using both qualitative and quantitative studies; AND
Developing research reports of findings to assist in change recommendations.

You may substitute education for specialized experience as follows: Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degreeor LL.M., if related.
OR
You may qualify with a combination of experience and education. To combine education and experience, your total qualifying experience is calculated as a percentage of the experience required for the grade level. Then, your education is calculated as a percentage of the education required for the grade level. The two percentages are added together. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify for that grade level. (Only graduate level education in excess of the first 36 semester hours (54 quarter hours) may be combined to be considered for qualifying education).
Education
Education Requirements: The education generally must be from an accredited (or pre-accredited) college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
