This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration. Serves as the Deputy Director of the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum within the National Archives and Records Administration. Serves as a principal advisor to the Library Director. At the direction of the Director, provides oversight and planning for the Library's administration and operation, and for archival, museum, educational, and public programs, including, as necessary, direct supervision of staff..

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Specialized Experience for the GS-14: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service.Specialized experience for this position includes ALL of the following: Managing and caring for museum and archival collections. Examples of this may include developing, storing, and preserving collections/artifacts and/or ensuring exact temperature and humidity standards are monitored and maintained. AND Creating or delivering educational content using archival and museum collections to promote the use of those collections to the public. AND Representing an organization by making appearances at events, thereby making connections with constituents.
