This position is located in the Financial Operations (FO), Office of Managing Director (OMD),Federal Communications Commission (FCC) located in Washington, DC. Relocation expenses will not be paid.

Duties
Incumbent is responsible for recording, processing and analyzing and validating financial transactions ( e.g., receipts, collections, commitments, accounts receivable, posting and liquidations, assessment of fees and penalties, invoicing obligations, accruals, or payments) required to support FCC Travel Operations Group -Incentive Auction program.
Assisting with analyzing and reviewing financial transactions involving Incentive Auction disbursements, funding commitment, obligation, receipt and payment transactions to finalize documents for entry into several the automated system.
Evaluating accounting systems applications and files systems and content to identify problems of processed transactions.
Assembling documents and compile data for use in reports, maintaining records; preparing forms, instructions and reports.
Reviewing and approving documents for the Commission Travel program and for the Incentive Auction disbursements, payments scheduled for processing through the automated accounting and financial information systems and receipts posted manually or through an automated interface process.
Compiling the accuracy of accounting data to prepare statements, reports, and schedules.
Processing travel vouchers and ensures that these items are prepared consistently with the Federal Travel Regulation and guidance received from the Chief.

Qualifications
Applicants must meet eligibility and qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Current Federal employees must meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. In order to be deemed as qualified candidates must have one year of specialized experience which is equivalent to the GS-6 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as follows: 1. Experience utilizing an automated accounting system to process accounting/financial transactions.2. Experience reviewing files and preparing financial reports.3.Experience in entering, reviewing and maintaining financial transactions and accounting records for multiple accounts.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
