About the Position: This position is located in the Systems Readiness Directorate Utility Division, Modernization Team. Duties

Establish and execute airworthiness qualification requirements for multi-systems integration Manage multiple, parallel airworthiness assessment efforts that implement new technologies and capabilities into the Army's H-60M fleet. Implement and utilize Digital Engineering tools to facilitate execution of the airworthiness mission. Represent organization interest at technical reviews, expertly resolve disparate technical positions and communicate complex technical airworthiness information to senior management, customers, and technical peers. Utilize integrated system knowledge, systems engineering and developmental system safety process experience, in combination with expert level technical inputs, to arrive at the best solution to attain and maintain airworthiness.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Appointee may be required to perform temporary business travel of approximately 20% of the time.
  • Selectee must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security clearance.

Specialized Experience Statement: To apply for this position as a DB-04, candidates must have at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower level (DB-3 pay band or equivalent pay bands) in Federal service which includes experience in (1) Executing the Requirements Engineering process by collecting, writing, and organizing airworthiness requirements (2) Preparing detailed performance requirements and design descriptions for an aviation weapons system integration program (3) Developing Airworthiness Releases (AWR)s, or equivalent, that safely limit an aircraft's operational envelope (4) Assessing the integration of equipment into a Multi-element Avionics Architecture System (5) Developing resolutions for airworthiness requirements issues within an organization and/or with external customers. (6) Written and oral communications to convey organizational positions, issues and solution paths. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Knowledge ManagementLeadershipRequirements AnalysisSystems EngineeringTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12/13).
