This position is an Engineering Equipment Operator, WG-5716-10, working in Princeton, Oregon, for the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge. Duties

As an Engineering Equipment Operator, your duties will include, but are not limited to, the following: Operate a variety of tracked and wheeled heavy equipment, such as excavators, dump trucks, motor-graders, agricultural and articulating tractors with implements, and dozers above the D6 size. Provide mentorship or instruction of new operators on the safe and proficient operation of a variety of equipment such as tracked and wheeled heavy equipment, excavators, dozers, dump trucks, motor-graders, agricultural and articulating tractors with implements, front-end loaders, ATVs/UTVs, trailers, and/or boats. Service and repair equipment that includes checking fluids, lubricating, replacing components that require dismantling of the equipment such as radiators, hydraulic tanks, alternators, tracks, and excavator bucket teeth, and rebuilding components. Plan approach to work assignments using knowledge of the terrain, soil composition/conformation, and equipment capabilities.
