Duties
You will operate chilled water system consisting of absorption and centrifugal chillers.
You will operate dual fuel boilers that produce high temperature hot water, and perform preventative maintenance on them.
You will operate dual fuel turbine generators with waste heat boilers to distribute hot water and electricity.
You will control distribution of electricity from multiple sources to the local grid.
You will operate photovoltaic systems for the production of electrical power.
You will monitor a medium voltage electrical distribution system during normal and emergency operations.
You will operate a propane vaporizer system to ensure equal energy content as compared to that of natural gas is supplied to boilers and turbines.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- Must have the ability to lift parts and equipment that weigh up to 40 pounds.
- Must have ability to stand/stoop/bend/kneel, climb, stretch, and work in tiring/uncomfortable positions.
- Must have ability to work inside and outside, sometimes in bad weather and in areas that are noisy, dirty, dusty, and greasy and work in areas exposed to high temperature, high noise levels, and possible exposure to lead, chemicals, or carcinogens.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- Must possess Respiratory Protection Certification within six months of being placed in this position.
- You must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license.
- This is a bargaining unit position.

WG-07: The Screen-out Element for this position is: Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision to include: performing preventative and schedules maintenance on various plant systems and equipment.
