The incumbent serves as an Estimator and Scheduler for all types of projects, from prospectus level to small program level projects.
This position is located in the Region 5, Great Lakes Region, Design and Construction Project Programs Division
We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.

The GS-12 salary range starts at $86,520.00 per year. Salary is determined by the location for which you are selected.
If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.
To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or higher in the Federal service.
Specialized experience is experience preparing and reviewing plans, specifications, and cost estimates of materials and labor involved in the construction, repair, and alteration of commercial buildings. This experience must include the following: analyzing estimates and establishing an owner negotiating position, dealing with proposals from contractors involving modifications of building systems and other large commercial expenditures; reviewing and verifying A-E cost estimates and providing consultation with A-E estimators and Project Managers; and performing budgetary cost planning and calculations for proposal submittals, developing Quantity Takeoffs using automated/digital takeoff tools, such as Bluebeam Revu or OnScreen Takeoff as well as developing cost estimates using Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) (Costworks, Sage 300) or Owner Developed Cost Estimating Software (NCMT). Projects must include new buildings, as well as renovation & alteration of existing facilities.
