Duties

You will work with Higher Headquarters as well as adjacent commands concerning policy recommendations, program administration, and supply operations. You will ensure all new procedures required to implement policy changes are documented and fully integrated with systemwide operations. You will provide technical Supply recommendations to the Commanding Officer, S-4 Officer, Command Primary and Special Staff members, and Responsible Officers. You will assist the Command on all fiscal matters to include annual budget development and execution, Monthly Deficiency Reviews, and documentation of purchase approvals. You will advise staff regarding policies, procedures, and directives of higher-level management.

  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
  • This position may be part of the Emergency Operations Center (EOC), the Crisis Action Team, Destructive Weather, Air Show, and other events deemed necessary by the S-4 Officer or Commanding Officer
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Proficient in computer literacy, Microsoft Office Suite utilization, budget building, forecasting, and execution tracking; knowledgeable in supply system and digital programs, with the ability to manage equipment receipt, shipping, requisition processes, approvals, and related systems. Education

You may also meet the minimum qualifications through education and/or combination of education and experience by satisfying one of the following for the GS-11: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or
