Duties

The employee primary function is to identify potential problems of equipment or related concerns, to assess objectivity cause and scope of problems and their resolutions. Monitor activities designed to assure the desired result has been achieved in a timely manner. Conduct surveillance to follow-up on preventive maintenance and/or services provided by the department to ensure, past problems have been resolved.
The employee will identify equipment by category, classification, catalogs and determine operational characteristics and preventive maintenance requirements. Incumbent provides such information together with advisory service concerning operation, preventive maintenance disposal and replacement.
Coordinates with the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) the receiving of accurate information on Building Services Equipment to enter into the data base. Included but not limited to Building Services Equipment received through construction projects. Additionally, if required, Incumbent will include in the preventive maintenance program. Assist in the review and development of printouts, develops and reviews history of equipment repair and preventive maintenance.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday (7:30am 4:00pm)

Qualifications
One (1) year of specialized experience which equipped you with the knowledge, skill, and abilities to perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of this position? To be creditable, this experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-6 grade level in the Federal Service. Examples of qualifying specialized experience includes possessing practical knowledge of the trades and work performed by shops; such as mechanical, electrical or carpentry and the installation, inspection, maintenance and improvement of both the inside and outside of building structures to effectively manage a variety of recurring maintenance, repair and replacement activities on complex equipment and machinery within a multi-building hospital facility.

IMPORTANT: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. All experience listed on your resume must include the month and year start/end dates. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities.
