About the Position: WRAIR is participating in an alternative personnel system knows as the Personnel Demonstration Project (PDP). The DJ-03 pay band is equivalent to the GS-11 Step 01 to GS-12 Step 10 level.

Duties
Provide and implement concepts, objectives, policies, and principles in the area of Administrative Support.
Review travel authorizations and vouchers and assist with conference packets and any other travel-related requests.
Assist with ordering supplies and equipment.
Resolve travel voucher discrepancies.
Advise travelers, reviewing and approving officials, other stakeholders on travel authorizations.
Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- Term employment is subject to a one-year trial period. Employees serving a trial period can be removed with limited appeal rights.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: (1) Developing and/or implementing new methods/ procedures related to administrative support for an organization; (2) Evaluating discrepancies or gaps in budget obligations, expenditures, or allocations to recommend corrective action; (3) Certifying contractor invoices for payment. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (DJ-02/GS-09).

Education: Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: electrical or electronic engineering, mathematics, physics, public utilities, statistics, computer science, telecommunications management, information systems management, business administration, industrial management, or other fields related to the position to be filled.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
