Duties

You will serve as a skilled professional in a variety of analytical techniques. You will work under the general supervision of the Team Lead or Lead Analyst who provides broad assignments based upon your reorganized competence and demonstrated ability. You will review, study, and interpret policies, procedures, and relationships in terms of assigned functions. You will plan and execute procedures for the acquisition, acceptance, storage, retrieval, update, and dissemination of programmatic and technical data. You will work on projects with personnel from all competencies on projects involving the review, analysis and evaluation of assigned programs. You will maintain frequent contact with technical and program personnel in the development and implementation of analysis. You will assist in establishing working relationships with other agencies. You will identify and analyze organization and process interfaces affecting programs.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

• This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.

Qualifications

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or NH-02 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Reviewing and interpreting policies and procedures, conducting cost estimating and cost benefit analysis, and using analytical software and databases to perform analytic functions. Education

Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual:

Degree: in operations research; or at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus.
