About the position: This position will be assigned to the Golf Course at Andrews Air Force Base.
This is a regular part-time position with benefits.
Duties
-Answers incoming telephone calls and receives visitors supplying requested information from own knowledge and/or office files, or refers caller to appropriate recipient.
-Receives and routes incoming mail and maintains suspense controls.
-Receives all correspondence for the General Manager, composes/prepares responses (some of confidential nature).
-Types correspondence as requested or as needed by supervisors.
-Creates and maintains office correspondence files and other reference material IAW established procedures.
-Maintains appointments and calendars
-Performs a variety of simple, routine, repetitive accounting duties which could include, but is not limited to: reviewing, computing, and verifying cashiers reports; verifying bank deposits, and posting transactions to individual accounts receivable.
-Delivers daily paperwork to the financial office and makes daily deposits to central cashier.
-Maintains activity logs for Government P-Card purchases
-Responsible for payment and coordination of monthly operational bills for facility.
-Annotates and submits invoices for payment and closes-out monthly expenditure logs.
-Prepares appropriate paperwork for official duty travel and request for training.
-Responsible for all aspects of payroll submittals.
-Assists in the maintenance, preparation, inputs and submittal of payroll as requested by supervisor.
-Prepares and generates appropriate forms for personnel actions.
-Performs other related duties as assigned.
-Performs initial contacts, types contracts, and maintains internal calendars for all events and special functions.
-Acts as sales consultant scheduling events.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience:
Must have responsible experience in clerical or office work which has provided knowledge of office automation software, correspondence formats, grammar, and spelling. Experience must have provided the ability to perform research, select, arrange, and composed material and maintain organized files. Must show progressively responsible experience in clerical duties in receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit, custody, or other processing of cash items which include (1) direct handling of cash items and, (2) use of cash accountability control methods. Knowledge of varied and/or advanced functions of computer and automated systems to produce a wide range of documents. Must be a qualified typist. Must be able to read, write, and speak English. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) is required. Experience that demonstrates the ability to plan and organize social functions for large groups of people.

Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
