Duties
As a Safety Occupational Health Manager you will:
Serve as an expert advisor on safety and emergency accommodations.
Coordinate, develop, direct, and evaluate the Office of Safety, Security, and Asset Management's (OSSAM) Persons with Disabilities (PWD) Program.
Develop program goals and make long-range program plans for the agency's OSSAM's PWD Program.
Manage the disabilities program consisting of all agency employee concerns that are dispersed throughout the country and abroad that require emergency evacuation assistance or safety.
Develop and implement program awareness programs and activities in accordance with American Disabilities Act (ADA) and other pertinent federal guidelines and safety regulations.
Develop and implement various individual evaluation plans and safety measures that focus on areas of concern for persons with disabilities and emergency evacuations.
Identify and address deficiencies and barriers in educating the agency regarding the agency's Persons with Disabilities Program and processes.
Identify inequities/trends in representation and treatment of persons with disabilities through workforce and career advancement analysis.
Monitor and report results of demographic data related to the agency's increasing numbers.
Make recommendations relative to a variety of safety concerns and regarding those involving persons with disabilities.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify at the GS-14 grade level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level, which must include the following experience: providing program oversight, managing, and planning of agency's disability program; providing trainings of the Occupant Emergency Plan (OEP) for building evacuation to accommodate employees in the workplace and developing and implementing various individual evaluation plans and safety measures focusing on areas of persons with disabilities and emergency evacuations.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Copy of your transcripts or equivalent documentation is required for positions with an education requirement, or if you are qualifying based on education or a combination of education and experience. An official transcript will be required if you are selected.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
