Duties

You will provide leadership, oversight and guidance on all logistics aspects of assigned projects/programs. You will complete regular reviews for the Project/Program Manager, and as necessary develop/provide briefs or reports to customers and users. You will resolve technical or procedural deficiencies based on system readiness and life cycle cost data analysis. You will analyze program requirements, develop acquisition and logistics documentation, assist in life cycle cost analysis, and review program technical data and readiness data. You will communicate effectively with vendors, customers, peers, and management in order to complete tasking.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Developing acquisition documents such as the Life Cycle Sustainment Plans, Fielding Plans, Performance Work Statements, OR other plans; AND Applying IPS elements (e.g.: sustaining engineering, training, maintenance planning, supply support, etc.) to plan and manage product support for communications.
