This position is located in the Office of the Assistant Register and Director of Operations. The position description number for this position is 345106. The salary range reflects the locality pay adjustments for the Washington, D.C., Metro area. The incumbent of this position may work a flextime, compflex or maxiflex work schedule. This is a non-supervisory, non-bargaining unit position. Relocation expenses will not be authorized for the person(s) selected under this vacancy announcement.

Duties

The Assistant Register and Director of Operations of the U.S. Copyright Office coordinates and directs day-to-day operations of the Office, including financial controls, budget, human capital, statutory royalty investments, mandatory deposit and acquisitions, contracts and strategic planning functions. The Assistant Register and Director of Operations reports to the Register of Copyrights.

Qualifications

Applicants must have had progressively responsible experience and training sufficient in scope and quality to furnish them with an acceptable level of the following knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position without more than normal supervision. Ability to plan and manage projects or programs. ** Ability to identify and analyze organizational and operational problems and develop solutions.  ** Ability to summarize program and operational data using various software tools for reporting purposes. ** Ability to interact collaboratively with others. Ability to communicate in writing. Ability to communicate effectively other than in writing.
