This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for mission support positions to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: The Anniston Army Depot is located in Anniston, Alabama.
Duties
Coordinate with organization personnel to locate and resolve problems that could cause late or incorrect shipments.
Maintain constant liaison with customers and field personnel and coordinating with inventory and quality assurance.
Expedite the flow of priority documents through the depot supply paperwork system.
Coordinate with organizational personnel on the status of cancellations and changes of transactions.
Review supporting documents to determine priority supply action required to expedite shipment of urgently needed items.
Resolve problems and recommends solutions pertaining to shipments and transactions.
Process all transaction from ammunition computer program and from National Inventory Control Points (NICPs).
Conduct a search of the completed transaction files to determine if items were shipped, denied, or cancelled.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Position is subject to the Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968.
- Position requires the incumbent to successfully meet and maintain requirements of the Physical Security of Arms, Ammunitions and Explosives IAW AR 190-11.
- Position requires the incumbent to meet the requirements of AMC-R 350-4, Training and Certification Program for personnel working in Ammunition Operations.
- This position is subject to Drug Abuse Testing Program requirements.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. One year of specialized experience which includes Analyzing and evaluating the inventory management systems; prepare reports; and interpret and apply regulations and procedures to meet shipment requirements; process transaction to ensure ammunition compliance; referencing supply regulations, policies and/or procedures to provide supply support to production, shipping or receiving operations; using automated supply systems to enter, correct, and/or retrieve recurring reports and prepare other supply documents; and monitoring and entering stock data into various systems; ensuring all shipping documents are complete. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
