About the Position: This position is located at the U.S. Army Recruiting Command, Mission Support Battalion, Fort Knox, KY. Serves as the principle coordinating executive and key advisor to the Commander on all staff matters, which includes logistics, budget, manpower, administration and operational issues within the Battalion.

Duties

Develops detailed standard operating procedures (SOP’s) to be implemented by the organizational staff and senior leaders. Uses organizational and operational concepts to prepare current and long-range program plans. Prepares the annual operating budget to support budget projections for projects, programs, supplies, equipment, and personnel. Utilizes existing command structure to manage multiple functions (i.e. Manpower, Operations, Logistics) of the marketing program. Presents guidance to senior leadership engaged in concept development and organizational planning. Disseminates policy decisions of the Commander to subordinate elements and appropriate staff agencies. Manages subordinate supervisors by holding them responsible for the performance of their assigned organizational elements. Oversees the management of positions within command to ensure the most efficient position structure for accomplishing work.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Incumbent is required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I Confidential Financial Disclosure Reports).
  • May be required to travel TDY away from normal duty station up to 5% of the time.
  • Must serve a one year supervisory probationary period.
  • Must obtain and maintain a Secret Security background investigation.
