You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST in the Security Office, Executive Support Staff of PSNS and IMF.
Duties
You will participate in security violation investigations where the loss or possible compromise of classified, controlled unclassified, or sensitive information or material is involved.
You will assist the Information Security Officer with audits and exercises to ensure that departments and personnel are following proper information security procedures and that personnel are familiar with current security instructions.
You will develop and present the Antiterrorism training for personnel.
You will conduct travel briefings and debriefings for personnel who travel outside the United States for business and personal reasons.
You will prepare lesson plans, visual aids, and multimedia packages (e.g. slides, overheads, handouts, newsletters, etc.) and provide instruction to personnel on the photo review policy, required training, and appropriate marking.
You will assist departments in analyzing and defining recommendations for the use of available security resources for the protection of personnel and facilities.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
For the GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing and evaluating security programs, policies, and procedures, to provide technical guidance and resolve issues related to the protection of personnel, facilities, equipment, and information.
For the GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: interpreting and analyzing security policies and procedures to answer security related questions and assist in resolving issues related to the protection of personnel, facilities, equipment, or information.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
For the GS-09:
A master's or equivalent graduate degree.
OR
Two full years of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a master's degree.
OR
