This position will allow you to use your expertise in managing and overseeing programs which have agency-wide and government-wide impact. This position starts at a salary of $108,245.00 (GS-12, Step 1) to $167,336.00 (GS-13, Step 10) with promotion potential to $167,336.00 (GS-13 Step 10). Qualifications

Experience: You qualify for the GS-12 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Overseeing a program segment that performs administrative work and providing administrative program direction to various directors and special staff for a variety of diverse programs and/or services of a subordinate organization(s), which may include financial, maintenance, supply, logistics and personnel areas. Monitoring the implementation of higher-level policies, and guidance, and making recommendations to adapt guidance for local situations. Identifying and informing the supervisor of major problem areas and presenting a plan to resolve the issue. Planning, organizing, coordinating, controlling, and evaluating the activities of subordinate organizations. Determining goals and objectives that need additional emphasis; developing measures that evaluate performance; making recommendations for program improvement. Experience: You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Overseeing a program segment that performs administrative work, which may include financial, maintenance, supply, logistics and personnel areas; providing advice and consultation to programs that involve and support the mission of the organization. Developing long-range program plans, goals, objectives, or milestones, or evaluating the effectiveness of programs. Reviewing multi-year work plans developed by subordinate organizational units and subsequently coordinating the overall work to enhance achievement of the goals and objectives. Maintaining contact and liaison with appropriate persons to maintain awareness of policies, regulations and technological changes. Initiating and monitoring special studies to include analysis of workload, personnel utilization, administrative facilities, and organization operating requirements for the program segment. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. You must: Meet all qualification requirements, including education if applicable to this position, subject to verification at any stage of the application process; and Meet all applicable Time in Grade requirements (current federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the federal service) by 01/12/2024. The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees. Current and former federal employees may be required to serve or complete a probationary period.
