This position is being announced under FEMA's Incident Management Assistant Team (IMAT) Program. This is a 4-year temporary appointment in the Excepted service. This position is located on a Type II, Regional/National IMAT and has a starting salary range of $51.81 per hour to $59.59 per hour; however, the maximum salary possible in this position is $67.32 per hour. Requirements

- 24 hour on-call work schedule during emergency response periods required.
- You must be able to obtain and maintain a Government credit card.

Qualifications
The qualification requirements listed below must be met within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.
You qualify for this position at the IT-03 level if you possess the following: One full year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade (IT-02) in the Federal Service. This experience may have been gained in the federal government, a state or local government, a non-profit organization, the private sector, or as a volunteer; however, your resume must clearly describe at least one year of specialized experience. Specialized experience for this position includes:
Leading an Information Technology (IT)team in an emergency response environment;
Coordinating the setup or closeout of a facility to ensure communication requirements are identified; and
Interpreting Incident Action Plans (IAP) and identifying resources needed.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
