As a supervisor/manager, the selectee for this position will be eligible to receive a Manager Performance Incentive (MPI) provided eligibility requirements noted in agency policy are met. The MPI is an annual lump-sum incentive payment that considers agency performance, the manager's individual performance, and available funding.Alaskan Region ATO, Technical Operations, WSA, Anchorage District is seeking a Supervisory ATSS for the Fox (SSC), in Fairbanks Alaska.
Duties
As the Supervisor of a Technical Operations, Systems Support Center (SSC), the employee has responsibility for administrative and technical direction of the assigned staff consisting of specialist, technicians, and other FAA support staff involved in the maintenance of the NAS. Applies knowledge of and experience with the interrelationships of (1) FAA and Technical Operations organizational components and their functions and operations, (2) FAA and Technical Operations priorities, plans, procedures and policies, and (3) National Air Space (NAS) components, systems and organizations.

- US Citizenship is required.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.

- Designated or Random Drug Testing required.
- Certification /Recertification of a Moderate Risk Security Clearance is required
- Occasional travel may be required
- A one year supervisory probationary period may be required.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position you must demonstrate within your application package that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower level of FV-I/Level IV or the equivalent FG/GS-13 in Federal Service. Specialized experience is experience in the 2101 occupational series or in a directly related occupation. The specialized experience must have equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.Specialized experience must demonstrate an extensive knowledge of and experience in technology system interrelationships, and management of civilian or military automated aviation, navigation and electronics systems. Candidates must show experience at the level of difficulty and responsibility appropriate to the position.Qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
