The primary purpose of this position is To provide supply operations support pertaining to the life of operational Intercontinental Ballistic Missile Launch and Missile Alert Facilities located over a large geographic dispersion area.
Duties
Develops and implements required planning and acquisition procedures in advance of each periodic maintenance and upgrade phase.
Consults directly with Item Managers and Equipment Managers at Depot Level and HQ Air Force Global Strike Command (AFGSC) to obtain required technical data, as built drawings and material specifications needed to implement production planning and procurement of critical materials and ample industrial support equipment to accomplish work objectives.
Operates computers to access a variety of automated supply systems.
Develops and writes specifications for contract requirements and oversees the Maintenance Group Government Purchase Card Program.
Manage hazardous materials Accumulation Point IA W base regulations and applicable laws ..
Develops Maintenance Group annual budget forecast and financial plans for maintenance materials and supply requirements.

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-07, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes Knowledge of a wide range of supply principles, concepts and methodologies as they pertain to inventory control and storage and distribution to provide needed parts for Maintenance Group maintenance and upgrade tasks and to resolve problems with obtaining necessary parts. Knowledge of a variety of automated supply systems, such as those provided by the Federal Supply System, DLA, IMDS and SBSS to perform searches for parts and material for availability to support mission needs. Knowledge of supply systems sufficient to research for necessary parts and materials and to determine if available parts and materials will meet needs of the user. Knowledge of MCL projects included in periodic maintenance and upgrade work orders to determine needs for materials and equipment to successfully complete projects. Knowledge of contracting procedures sufficient to develop and write specifications for contract requirements and to prepare Requests for Purchase. Knowledge of regulations and procedures pertaining to use of Government Purchase Card and Checks (GPC); skill in managing use of GPC and checks to procure needed supplies and equipment and maintain proper records to assure accountability. Knowledge of regulatory material pertaining to hazardous materials Accumulation Point; skill in managing use of AP to assure safe collection of hazardous materials and proper disposal.

EDUCATION: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. NOTE: You must submit a copy of official transcripts.

COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. NOTE: You must submit a copy of official transcripts.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-07 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-09 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Through knowledge of mission assignment, workload schedules, organizational structure, operational procedures, and channel of communications pertaining to the assigned workload in order to provide timely material support.
Detailed knowledge of flow of material and supply procedures in order to resolve material problems.
Knowledge of directives of each workload, end item configuration and sequence of areas worked in order to provide material support or devise alternate plans of action to prevent schedule slippage.
Knowledge of regulations, policies and procedures pertaining to material control and scheduling functions.
Knowledge of regulations, instructions and laws pertaining to Hazardous Waste Accumulation Point management.
Skill in interpreting mechanized computer products (material related) and initiating corrective actions to eliminate problem areas.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
