You will serve as a PHYSICAL SECURITY SPECIALIST in the SECURITY DEPARTMENT of NAVAL RECRUITING DISTRICT MIAMI.

Duties

You will perform drills of stated Random Anti-Terrorism Measures (RAM) to include entry and exit inspections. You will conduct an annual Physical Security survey according to prescribed policies and regulations. You will respond to inquiries regarding the implementation and execution of Physical Security guidelines. You will establish on going procedures to assess the effectiveness of the commands Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) program. You will collaborate with Base Security on implementation of Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection measures. You will resolve problems regarding Anti-Terrorism Programs to eliminate potential threats against the Agency's mission. You will interpret a range of regulations and directives to effectively manage security programs and provide guidance.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Implementing risk mitigation measures based on the assessment of threats and vulnerabilities; 2) Executing Antiterrorism (AT) program in accordance to policies and procedures; 3) Coordinating with agencies to ensure understanding of antiterrorism security needs of the organization; and 4) Developing discrepancy reports of physical security items for repair or replacement. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

or

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.M., if related
