This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration. The incumbent serves as a visitor services representative and a sales store clerk at the Dwight D. Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum. The incumbent maintains visitor attendance records and provides guided tours to visitors.
Duties
As a SALES STORE CLERK, you will:
Ensure that admissions/museum store sales area is in peak condition through servicing many customers per day.
Assure that records are properly dated and categorized by paid or free admission, guided or non-guided tour, public programs admission, or school group admission.
Locate and correct errors by recount and review of any adjustments of cash safety.
Provide orientation and on-the-job training for new clerks.

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
General Experience: For the GS-04, you may qualify with one year of general experience. General experience for this position includes:
One full year of progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled.
OR
Education: You may substitute education for general or specialized experience as follows: Completion of 2 years above high school.
OR
You may qualify by a combination of experience and education. Options for qualifying based on a combination will be identified in the online questions. To combine education and experience, the total percentage of experience at the required grade level compared to the experience requirement, as well as the percentage of completed education compared to the education requirement must equal at least 100 percent.
Advancement to positions up to GS-5: Candidates may be advanced without time restriction to positions up to GS-05 if the position to be filled is no more than two grades above the lowest grade the employee held within the preceding 52 weeks under his or her latest non-temporary competitive appointment.
