Duties

You will perform agency visits and conduct technical assessments on assigned vehicular fleet. You will monitor and evaluate vehicle and equipment use by activities to ensure Navy owned and General Services Administration (GSA) vehicles are managed in accordance with prescribed guidance. You will provide technical assistance on available transportation services, budgeting for equipment rental, and the proper type of equipment available as standard/nonstandard navy procurement. You will determine if customer requirements are met and make recommendations on available transportation services. You will maintain inventory of all vehicles and equipment for Civil Engineering Support Equipment.

Requirements

• Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

• You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Monitoring vehicles and equipment used by activities to ensure vehicles are managed in accordance with prescribed guidance; 2) Providing technical assistance on available transportation services, budgeting for equipment rental, and the proper type of equipment available as standard/nonstandard navy procurement; and 3) Maintaining a record of all vehicles and equipment and coordinating all vehicle assignments. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree
OR

A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
