The primary purpose of the position is to provide full administrative support to the EOH program and involves implementing EOH administrative management programs and processes. PSA assists with a wide variety of administrative, technical, and clerical tasks essential to meet the requirements of the EOH program directives. This position reports to EOH physician who is aligned under the Deputy Associate Chief of Staff for Primary Care in Honolulu, Hawaii
Duties
DUTIES OF POSITION INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
Serves as the Point of Contact ensuring all required paper records file storage is compliantwith records management.
Obtains and tracks data using Microsoft Excel and operating web-basedsoftware for data input
Assembles and summarizes data, background information, and other materialsinto reports or presentation formats.
Assists with coordination of pre-employment and courtesy physicals, ensuring all Human Resource forms are completed.
Reviews unsigned notes and incomplete reports daily, ensuring staff completion.
Participates in systems redesign projects, work groups, and conference callsto maintain proficiency and assist department with meeting required goals.
Assists staff nurse with management, ordering and tracking medication expiration dates.
Work Schedule: Monday Through Friday 07:30am - 04:00pm
Telework: VA supports the use of telework as a way to help attract and retain talented individuals in public service, increase worker productivity, and better prepare the agency to operate during emergencies. Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 01/18/2024.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-06 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-05. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. Note: Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to former Federal employees applying for reinstatement as well as current employees applying for Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment.
You may qualify based on your experience below:
Specialized Experience: one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-5 level in the Federal service, that equipped me with the knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) needed to successfully perform the duties of this position and that is typically in or related to the position being filled. Specialized experience includes but is not limited to:
Knowledge and understanding of the principles of health care administration and medical center's mission and operations management objectives, practices, methods, and techniques necessary to assist in evaluating the center's administrative support function.
Knowledge of the organizational structure, policies, procedures, and regulatory guides to provide assistance and assurance that EOH program is in compliance with overall operations of the health care facility.
Ability to gather and analyze factual data, drawing conclusions and recommending solutions to various work situations and requirements.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Package, including Word, Excel, Adobe and PowerPoint. Must be able to develop and maintain Excel spreadsheets, graphs, and power point presentations. Familiar with and have knowledge to access and retrieve data from different software programs to include Pro Clarity, Vista, VAE, PCMM, KLF, etc, Proficient as a typist.
Skill in preparing reports, correspondence, proposals, and operational plans.
Ability to facilitate and multitask various procedures and accommodations for the EOH program.

Physical Requirements: The work is mostly sedentary in nature. It occasionally requires carrying light objects such as files, books, and papers. No special qualifications required.
