About the Position: This position is located in the Department of Personnel and Administration in Airway Heights, Washington.
Duties
Assist the commander/director in the management of all administrative support program functions.
Serve as the resident subject matter expert for all mandated administrative support programs.
Serve as the organizational point of contact and liaison with the personnel flight on military and civilian personnel issues.
Assist in planning, administering and monitoring manpower resource requirements.
Perform clerical and administrative work in support of the office/organization.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- Position is designated as Mission Essential. The incumbent will be required to report to work during times of contingency operations, natural disasters, extreme weather or other emergency situations.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association. Advanced certification (e.g., ALS) does not supersede BLS.
- Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
- Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing support for various administrative programs, proposing changes to operating procedures for process improvement, and conducting program reviews to determine compliance is met. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS- 06).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
