You will serve as a Program Analyst in the Program Executive Officer, Attack Submarine (PEO SSN) of PEO SSN.

Duties

You will develop guidance, policies and procedures for organization and program improvement as related to cost, schedule and performance measures. You will establish and maintain working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate projects. You will prepare coordinated reports, presentations an briefings in support of program actions, briefs senior leadership and makes recommendations based on findings. You will serve as a management advisor to address a wide variety of interrelated subject matter than can include financial, contractual, programmatic or other program office focus areas. You will prepare and implement long-range planning objectives covering administrative aspects of the organization and other assigned areas. You will develop and recommend methodologies and approaches to take corrective action on effectiveness and efficiency of the organizational operations. You will conduct and document various studies/analyses in support of assigned programs.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band, NH-02 (GS-11 Equivalent), in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector conducting analysis or studies of business operations or functions (e.g. financial management, costs, schedules, budgeting, workforce performance, strategic planning, workload management, project planning and management, manpower, resource allocations, and logistics) to develop or recommend improvement plans, initiatives, approaches, or corrective actions in work methods, processes, or procedures for the sustainment, maintenance, or modernization of submarines, submarine systems, subsystems, or components.
