Duties

This position starts at a salary of $134,751.00 (GS-14, Step 1) to $175,178.00 (GS-14, Step 10) with promotion potential to $181,216.00 (GS-14 Step 10). In this Supervisory Intelligence Research Specialist position, you will provide second-level supervision and direction for the activities of the division of Intelligence Research Specialists, as well as administrative and technical support personnel. Major duties include but are not limited to: Providing management over workforce in collecting, analyzing, interpreting, evaluating and dissemination of all-source information and intelligence to inform operations and decision making. Monitoring the work to be accomplished by setting priorities and preparing schedules for completion. Directing the utilization of personnel through sound position management practices and directing the proper utilization of assigned facilities and other resources. Mentoring of intelligence analysts/officers/enforcement personnel in intelligence and collection trade craft.

Qualifications

Experience: You qualify for the GS 14 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Coordinating intelligence efforts and sharing information with other personnel within the intelligence and enforcement communities. Handling sensitive law enforcement and national security issues; planning, organizing, administering, and coordinating intelligence activities. Resolving problems related to planning and directing the collection, analysis, and reporting of intelligence information. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. You must meet all qualification requirements, including education if applicable to this position, subject to verification at any stage of the application process by 01/11/2024. The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees.
