This position is part of the Office of the Secretary of Interior, Office of Natural Resources Revenue (ONRR), Audit Management (AM), Southern Audit Management located in Houston, TX.

Duties
Participate in the management of the office by performing and coordinating routine administrative and procedural duties
Track office budget, prepare training requests, initiate personnel actions, and monitor maintenance of office equipment and supplies
Performs data review, input, collection, and validation of data received for audits and other compliance activities
Queries systems to extract information and researches background information for audit and compliance teams for further analysis
Schedules and conducts enrollment and activation activities in applicable personnel access systems for new and existing employees, and provides ongoing support for office access and facilities to area employees
Organize and maintain files and records, manuals, handbooks, and other related reference materials for use by office staff
Qualifications
At the GS-07 level, you must meet the following qualification:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-06 level. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is in or directly related to the line of work of this position and has equipped you with the knowledge and competencies to successfully perform the duties of this position. Specialized experience for this position includes but is not limited to administrative activities such as travel assistance including creating travel authorizations, making travel arrangements, and/or completing travel vouchers; payroll processing; USA Access enrollment processing and activation of employees; verifying calculations and supporting audit and compliance work; and setting up and organizing files and records.

TIME-IN-GRADE: Current career or career-conditional employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b).
A written test is not required.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
