You will serve as a PROTOCOL OFFICER in the DEPARTMENT of DEFENSE of UNIF SRVS UNI OF THE HLTH SCI.
Duties
You will serve as the university’s primary Protocol officer, responsible for coordinating and managing University-level ceremonies, visits to the University by military and civilian dignitaries/special visitors, and University-level special events.
You will coordinate all aspects of special events and visits, including invitations, parking, escorts, hotels, transportation, directions, base access, seating plans for key briefings, special events and ceremonies based on protocol precedence.
You will provide advice and assistance on matters of protocol, customs, and courtesies, and serves as the key point of contact and liaison for protocol matters with other agencies/units.
You will evaluate program and procedures and continuously looks for improvements in efficiency.
You will create an environment to foster open, two-way communication and the development of collaborative partnerships to achieve policy objectives.
You will provide formal and information presentations to various media, boards, community organizations and
other constituencies.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying protocol principles, practices and techniques to develop, coordinate and administer protocol policies and functions to execute command event plans, programs and official visits.
