Serves as a Accountant in the Accounting Department of the Hale Koa Hotel.
2023 Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) for Honolulu, HI is 9.28%.

Duties
Performs or directs the accounting management of the fund. Develops, monitors, reviews and/or analyzes financial reports, payroll, accounts payable, internal review follow-up and banking data. Develops and revises in-house data to meet new requirements. Provides guidance and direction necessary to effectively accomplish mission requirements. Makes ratio analysis of various aspects of operations in order to identify problem areas or unfavorable conditions. Prepares various reports of findings, recommendations, and financial position. Performs other duties as assigned.

- Must be able to work weekdays, weekends, holidays and various hours of the day and week when required.

Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree is required which included a minimum of 24 semester hours in accounting and work experience of the type described above.or Combination of education and experience -- at least 4 years of experience in accounting, or an equivalent combination of accounting experience, college-level education, and training that provided professional accounting knowledge. The applicant's background must also include one of the following:
1. Twenty-four semester hours in accounting or auditing courses of appropriate type and quality. This can include up to 6 hours of business law; or
2. A certificate as Certified Public Accountant or a Certified Internal Auditor, obtained through written examination; or
3. Completion of the requirements for a degree that included substantial course work in accounting or auditing, e.g., 15 semester hours, but that does not fully satisfy the 24-semester-hour requirement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skill.

- Independent work experience directly related to payroll functions such as reviewing time and attendance records for accuracy, completeness and adherence to procedure and policy.
- Working knowledge of hotel systems and operations.
Education
