About the position: This position will be assigned to Striker's Bowling Center on Holloman AFB, NM.
This is a flexible position (0-40 Hours Per Week). Work schedule is Monday through Saturday which can include holidays.
Must be physically able to frequently lift or move objects weighing up to 40 pounds. Must be able to continuously stand and walk, and frequently stoop, reach, push, pull and bend for long periods of time..
Duties
The primary purpose of this position is to perform a variety of manual tasks in food preparation and food service areas.
The primary duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
Breaks down and cleans area when meals are complete.
Sets up dining room tables for service, places food and beverages on tables and replenishes items as necessary.
Sets up and operates dishwashers, performs preventive maintenance and cleaning. Scrapes, soaks, scours and scrubs bowls, pots and pans.
Performs heavy duty cleaning tasks such as ceilings, exhaust hoods, under and behind kitchen equipment, washes floors and walls, walk-in refrigerators and freezers, sanitizes garbage cans.
May unload food from delivery trucks.
Collects and transfers trash from work area to disposal area.
Assembles and tosses fresh fruit or green salads in quantity using prepared dressings, serves into standard serving sizes.
Makes cold sandwiches using prepared ingredients.
Makes coffee, tea and other beverages.
Performs check-out duties such as ringing up food, beverages, and merchandise by individual item; totaling sales; processing credit card sales; receiving money; and making change.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
- This position requires the incumbent to complete assigned training, to include Food Handlers certification, within specified time from date hire or assignment to position.
- This position requires the incumbent to be of legal age to serve/sell alcohol in NM.
- This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and one every three years thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.

Qualifying Experience:
Must be able to use hand tools for cleaning and operate simple machines.
Must have knowledge of sanitation standards in handling and serving food, and for cleaning equipment and work area.
Experience in the operation of a cash register, direct handling of cash items, and cash accountability is desirable.
Must possess skill in dealing with the public.
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
