About the Position: Serves as Support Services Specialist in the U.S Army Recruiting Command (USAREC) Recruiting Battalion (BN) in multiple locations. Supports the administrative and logistical functions in the areas of Facilities and Fleet Management.

Duties

Identify facility requirements for multiple locations within assigned organization. Disseminates technical guidance to workforce as it pertains to facility management and vehicle usage. Utilize an established checklist to conduct inspections on facilities. Advise on all matters pertaining to motor vehicle control to ensure all work is completed within standards. Execute vehicle replacement/turn-in program to maintain vehicle strength at approved levels. Produces reports to describe vehicle accidents and misuse.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) required 20% of the time.
  • Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a state driver's license.

Specialized Experience: One-year specialized experience which includes (1) utilizing existing directives to assist in the management of a motor vehicle fleet; (2) utilizing an automated system to input and extract data; (3) reviewing maintenance requirements for facilities and/or vehicles within assigned organization; (4) analyzing data to prepare reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position in such as Public Administration, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Management, or other administrative or management fields. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
