About the Position: This is a permanent position.
Duties
Prepare documents and maintains information in accordance with acquisition requirements on assigned projects.
Prepare comprehensive reports detailing information from site visits and meetings and make recommendations on how to proceed.
Serve as project planner and inspector for smaller maintenance and repair construction projects.
Prepare cost estimates for small construction projects and service contracts.
Coordinate with customers to determine requirements for construction projects.
Validate and prioritize service work to be accomplished by a contractor.
Interpret and analyze data to determine the best course of action for problem resolution.
Requirements

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing work in the areas of civil, utilities, structural, mechanical, and/or electrical construction including meeting with customers on site to validate construction needs; performing quantity take offs to place orders for materials; coordinating contractors and vendors to schedule construction work; evaluating contractor workmanship to ensure compliance with contract requirements; and operating computer programs such as Excel, Word, Outlook, and AutoCAD. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-08).
