You will serve as a Combat Integration & Identification Systems Chief Engineer in the Combat Integration and & Identification Systems Division of NAWCAD WEBSTER OUTLYING FIELD.
Duties
You will provide technical expertise, support, and services to users and maintainers of Combat ID systems.
You will coordinate the work of systems engineers, electronic technicians, Information Technology Specialists, system analysts, and test and evaluation personnel.
You will review work for consistency with, and potential impact on, broad agency objectives and program goals, and for contribution to the advancement of the field.
You will be responsible for ship, air, and shore requirements analysis and review, system upgrade reviews, software adaptation design and implementation, software test, and software installations.
You will interpret policies promulgated by authorities which are senior to the immediate supervisor and determine their effect on program needs.
You will direct the planning of resources to accomplish major blocks of engineering endeavor which may involve the expenditure of major portions of the nation's industrial base and long range commitments of agency dollar allocations.
You will coordinate Combat ID system engineering including design reviews.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band (DP-04) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing systems engineering direction and technical leadership to engineers, technicians, and IT professionals; 2) Implementing and managing the execution of rapid integration projects involving Combat Identification and Counter- small UAS, computer networks, IT systems and related A/V and electronic systems; 3) Leading technical innovation and organizational change to adapt with industry growth in technology; 4) Coordinating with strategic leaders and tactical partners in addition to industry to develop immediate and future solutions for the warfighter; 5) Providing technical engineering mentorship and project management direction to subordinates and other professionals; 6) Overseeing a risk management Process

For the 0801 General Engineering Series:
Successful completion of a professional engineering degree. To be acceptable, the program must: (1) lead to a bachelor's degree (or higher) in a school of engineering with at least one program accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET); or (2) include differential and integral calculus and courses (more advanced than first-year physics and chemistry) in five of the following seven areas of engineering science or physics: (a) statics, dynamics; (b) strength of materials (stress-strain relationships); (c) fluid mechanics, hydraulics; (d) thermodynamics; (e) electrical fields and circuits; (f) nature and properties of materials (relating particle and aggregate structure to properties); and (g) any other comparable area of fundamental engineering science or physics, such as optics, heat transfer, soil mechanics, or electronics. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
OR
Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico. Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering that included the courses specified in the basic requirements under paragraph A (above). The courses must be fully acceptable toward meeting the requirements of an engineering program as described in paragraph A (above)
OR
Successful completion of a curriculum leading to a bachelor's degree in an appropriate scientific field, e.g., engineering technology, physics, chemistry, architecture, computer science, mathematics, hydrology, or geology, may be accepted in lieu of a bachelor's degree in engineering, provided the applicant has had at least one year of professional engineering experience acquired under professional engineering supervision and guidance. Ordinarily, there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-type experience, e.g., in interdisciplinary positions.
For the 1550 Computer Science Series:
Bachelor's degree in computer science
OR
Bachelor's degree with 30 semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science. At least 15 of the 30 semester hours must have included any combination of statistics and mathematics that included differential and integral calculus.
All academic degrees and course work must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions.
