You will serve as a ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN (AEROSPACE in the FST ENGINEERING DIVISION of FLTREADCEN EAST.
Duties
You will serve as a lead representative for all aspects of in-service support for the assigned Propulsion and Power systems.
You will investigate analyze and resolve problems pertaining to the design, installation, maintenance, operation, repair and test of the assigned program and associated accessories.
You will prepare and submit engineering investigation reports to document the results of investigations.
You will prepare local engineering directives, bulletins, manual changes, and rapid action changes to modify maintenance procedures.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Troubleshooting / solving complex engineering solutions for significantly challenging fleet and depot issues and in-service repairs and/or improvements for assigned Propulsions and Power systems;
2. Working in diverse teams and clearly communicate to all levels of NAVAIR and to internal and external customers (FST, PMA, Production, Fleet, MAO, Industry Partners, etc.);
3. Applying knowledge of negotiation principals to resolve technical and programmatic related conflict;
4. Preparing and delivering briefings and presentations of technical reports regarding completed technical project work, presenting results, conclusions, and recommendations;
5. Providing guidance and expert consultation to lower grade engineers and technicians working on the assigned Propulsion and Power systems.
